Where is my traffic friend?

I don’t remember the first time we met but after a while you became my friend.
On Osborne road every week day, you will look out for my car to attempt to sell your product – tissue boxes.
After a while it was not about selling but about saying hello.
You didn’t just know my car, you knew my face because at times I would drive my husband’s car and you will still recognize me.

I committed to buying for myself and others every week. I couldn’t be bothered about the tissue finishing during the week, so I would leave it on the table for all to use. When it finished it was another opportunity to buy another tissue box from you.

I remember when a car moved my side mirror and I couldn’t reach it. I knew you would help me and truly you helped me adjust it.

I didn’t realize you would move on after the Christmas break. I wish I had helped more… couldn’t relate to your profit margin because the tissue box was N200, how much was the cost price- your profit must have been very low.

I really wish I had helped more, maybe help you get to school or do something you wanted to do. I kept thinking about it but never acted.
Wherever you are now, I pray God helps you and sends you help from all sides.

Thanks for being my traffic friend. It would be great to see you sometime somewhere…
I wish I didn’t delay helping you.

Update: I have found my traffic friend and have his number now *smiling*
