Different Destinations

Hi friend, earlier in the month, I overheard people discuss about how others had risen fast, done great things and silently I thought lowly of myself.

Last Saturdy,  I was driving to a former colleague’s wedding and I saw another colleague on the way. I assumed we were going to the same wedding.
We got to a traffic light and both stopped, afterwards he sped off leaving me behind. I met him again at another traffic light, this time I was determined to show him I drove my hubby’s car (lol) so I sped off after the light  leaving him behind.
Few meters after, I turned to Ozumba Mbadikwe and realized he didn’t make the turn. We were not going to the same destination, even if we were the most important thing is we will both get there.
Truth is our journeys are different, they may seem similar but are certainly unique!!!
Some people will retire to do things along the way (I still had to buy fuel at some point).
You don’t win your race by getting there first, we win by doing what God requires us to do along the way. It’s uniquely different for everyone!!!
Enjoy your journey dear friend.

  1. Very true. Thanks for this short but apt piece. I believe many of us are tempted to feel like under-achievers when we see where our contemporaries are, especially when you’re the type who is ambitious. It’s good to remind ourselves of this fact you have raised, now and then. Thanks again.
