Don’t forget to cream your hands!!!

Like the typical Lagos worker, I rush out of the house to beat the traffic. On several occasions after getting to work, I realized that my hands were white in the morning. But I remember using cream all over my body with these same hands so why would they still be white?
Aside the fact I have beautiful dry skin, so I need to use baby oil and lots of cream, I usually forgot to cream the hands themselves. So I would use my hands to cream my entire body but leave the hands dry and end up looking or begging  for hand cream in the office.
Likewise in our lives, we can get carried away with attending to the needs of others – family, business, organization, church. Yet we forget to take care of ourselves.
When last did you invest in yourself?
I am all ups for being a blessing unto others but we can’t give what we don’t have.
Do you spend all your salary/ time attending to the needs of others and you forget to attend to yours? Please be careful not to dry up!!!
As a salary earner, don’t “sow” all your money to those in need, ensure to invest some. Invest some in your personal development, invest some in that business idea, mutual funds and in going for a medical check up. Have you done your annual medical check up this year?
As a young mother or wife, we can find ourselves giving so much to the family that it weighs us down. We become “touchy” when we don’t take time to rest, so we shout at everyone around us. I know the demands can be many but please look for assistance and make time to rest.
As a minister, ensure to fill yourself so you will have enough to help others. Fill yourself with God’s word, prayer and worship before reaching out to others. Even Jesus withdrew to lonely places and prayed (Luke 5:16)
So the next time you want to cream your whole body (family, friends, community) Be sure to deliberately cream your hands throughly.
Have a beautiful weekend.
