At the beginning of the year, one of my career related goals was to do another course with Harvard Kennedy School (online). Earlier in the year, I made a confession picture, which I used many times. I confessed it at various times in the day.
The year went by and in August, I remembered I needed to apply for the program. August was mega busy at work but I got a two week leave – went to the teens camp. When I got back from camp, it was few days to the deadline for application. I was a little discouraged when I considered the cost – $4600. One needed to have the NGN equivalent then start the hassle of getting FX from the bank! I pushed myself and applied for it. Thankfully, within 3 days, I got the admission. I allowed myself, two days to enjoy the bliss of the admission.
Then, it was time to “act” for the funds. Again, I checked personal accounts and confirmed I couldn’t afford it and the moment. I reached out to a friends that received funding support at some point and they provided some guidance. Then I did it, I sent an email to HKS asking for financial aid. I waited for a response. It came, not what I hoped for…
With this mail, I felt like a beggar, I wished I could afford it and did not have to request. Then, the Holy Spirit corrected me, he said you are not a beggar, you simply asked in accordance with my word in Matt 7:7 – Ask, Seek and Knock.
After 2 days, I responded boldly that I look forward to the official feedback. I continued to work and focus on other things.
I thanked God for whatever the outcome will be, if you checked me, there was no worry or anxiety. I trusted for goodness! Then the mail dropped, I remember reading it multiple times and sending immediately to hubby – full funding!!!
Days later, the invoice was updated to FULLY PAID. I didn’t need to walk into any bank to source for FX. God did it 🙌🙌🙌🙌
This is a testimony, I will remember for years to come! It has strengthened my faith to ask and trust, for God is able to do exceedingly abundantly, above what we can think of, ask or imaging, according to His power within us!
