Motherhood, how do I describe it? I possibly can’t since am just 7 weeks into it. But I can share a few moments I have had:
We do cry over spilled milk especially if you are not lactating fully yet.
In secondary school we avoided a good latch but now we pray for good latches from our babies (week 3)
When your only cooking utensil is a pump and serving item is bottle (week 3-4)
When an overflowing expressed milk gives us so much JOY!!! (week 4)
Our popular prayer becomes Lord pls let my baby not wake up until am done with this, then hubby comes and says she is awake, ready to eat (week 5)
The joy when she can play for 1 hour on her own after feeding for almost 3 hours consecutively (week 6)
The smiles and beautiful sounds she makes when feeding makes us forget all the stressful moments (week 6)
So motherhood is tasking yet brings its JOY along with it. I pray for grace upon every new mum like me. Don’t forget God is with us!!
