The Perfect Time

My hubby and I had agreed in prayer that our queen will come on Friday, 3rd of June; her Expected Delivery Date (EDD) was 13th June hence the delivery could be anytime from 2 weeks before. We picked 3rd June and prophesied relating to it.

That day was my last day at work and it seemed perfect that she will come that day so we could maximise my maternity leave.

On that day, I left for work, had about 2 more deliverables in the office and tried to clear my desk before my leave. It was a stressful day and I couldn’t close until about 7:30pm and even took some work with me. We truly expected and believed she will come but….

Queen Folagbade didn’t come until the 11th of June, a week and a day after we prayed for her to come.
I had contractions early Saturday morning and they were 5 minutes apart from home already. The road was free and within about 15 mins we were at the hospital. It couldn’t have been a more perfect timing! I can’t imagine being in Lagos (Nigeria) traffic with the contractions (especially as we trusted for a quick delivery)

What did we do while waiting ?
It was a time to GET READY by resting, renewing our faith towards a quick, easy and painless delivery, exercising and preparing our delivery play list.

Many times we ask and expect a certain thing from God at a certain time. God won’t give us if he knows it’s not the perfect time. He is never too early or late. Remember HE makes all things beautiful in his time!!
