In July, Queen Folagbade finally broke my phone screen. I allowed her to play with the phone especially since she used it to say one of her first few words “Hello”. It was pretty sad but it was hubby’s birthday so I chose not to focus on it.

I had to fix the phone by changing the screen, this was quite costly especially because I didn’t plan for it.

Fast forward to few weeks later I noticed a crack!! At first, I was fine because I thought I bought a screen protector, then I noticed it wasn’t protected. Oh No!!! I had not purchased the screen protector. From a little crack, slowly but surely it extended to a longer crack and before I knew it the crack was a long horizontal line. Within the week,I got the protector and surprisingly by the weekend there were 2 more cracks on the phone. Thank God the extra cracks were on the protector.

It finally dawned on me that protecting may not be sufficient so I need to guard my phone from the Queen. Yes she may cry a bit when I refuse to give her the phone but I have to count the cost of giving her.

Don’t just fix that unhealthy situation, relationship or habit, protect yourself and if necessary guard yourself from it. I learnt recently that living at peace with others doesn’t mean we expose ourselves to be hurt.

Fix. Protect. Guard it dear friends!!!
