My Swimming Story 1

Earlier in 2018, I set swimming as one of my physical goals… it had been about 7 years since I entered a pool and surely I had forgotten how to swim

Class 1
My coach was a bit late but I got into the pool and I wanted to change my mind. Who sent me ooooo?
The water was cold!!! The pool was deeper than I had imagined!!! This was just the shallow side
The fear that gripped me came with continuous shivers!!! Can I change my mind?..
My coach was patience, he asked that I walk to the other side of the pool (shallow area), I said I couldn’t without holding him.
We did this about 3 times…

Next challenge:
Put my head in the water for some seconds, how nah!!! Can’t I swim without this??
Lol, truth is we can’t effectively swim without putting our heads in the water.
I tried once and again and again, we started counting till 3 then 5!!!
I made it and was excited oooo

This is ok, let me go but alas one more challenge, I need to float today!!!
It’s my first day oo, how do you float?

Guess what, most people that drown in the water are usually floating afterwards
Why? Because fear is out!!! And their heads are down.
So I needed to overcome this fear for me to float
My coach told me once my head is down, I will naturally float.
We tried it oo, it was difficult at first.
Held on to my coach’s hand like forever, just in case.
Floating can be a big task with fear. Slowly, I overcame it at least for some seconds!!!
